Found in the horde of a mated-pair of Ice Dragons, Egil’s shield is believed, according to the skald Aki, to be of elven-make. Lacquered oak and ash form the base with a hardened leather (dragon-skin) rim. The golden design of interlaced wurms is of the style and craft of elves as is the source of its enchantment.
