Rage Of The Norsemen
This large kite shield (+3) is designed to withstand three strikes per round and weighs as much as a normal shield.
During the battles of the giants, Vanir and Aesir, one great flame mutant was cast down to Midgard in the form of a smelting rock and crashed at the foot of the farthest mountains to the South. This rock became sought after by the great smiths, human and dwarf alike, and the metallic qualities of the falling star were used to forge an array of weapons and armor.
Wurmbite was forged at the learning of Ragnarok by a smith of Midgard. Designed after a vision this unique kite shield was embellished with silver filigree depicting the great wurm, the world-serpent, Jormungandr.
Along the serpents’ back, runes in amber, the hope to delay the end of the world:
Brothers shall strive and slaughter each other;
Own sisters’ children shall sin together;
Ill days among men, many a whoredom:
An axe-age, a sword-age, shields shall be cloven;
A wind-age, a wolf-age, ere the world totters.
