Odhinn is the chief of all gods with the ultimate purpose of delaying Ragnarok. He is a war god and magician, controlling battles, judging the dead and granting magic. He is author of the runes for humankind. He often appears as a gray-bearded man with one eye wearing a cloak flecked with cloud-spots and a wide-brimmed hat. His female warriors are the Valkyries.
